Fly Away

A couple of weeks ago, I found this pink balloon in the bushes along my driveway. No idea where it came from... a birthday party? The birth of a baby girl? Anyway, I brought it up to the house, intending to put it in the trash, but dropped it into the recycle bin instead. And then I forgot all about it as the recycle bin filled up. Yesterday, after the trash had been emptied, I noticed the balloon lying by the street in front of my house. Apparently it was rejected as a recyclable item.

As I left this morning to run some errands, I stopped and took this photo and then I put it inside the car - once again with the intention of throwing it away. As I finished my last errand, I opened the back door of the car and out it flew (it's very windy today). I turned to try to catch it again but it was out of sight.

The End.

Koloni Jagoan 5: Blade Bunny, Spray King 4 of 4, Words of Love by Sugiyama Miwako (m&c! 30 November 2011 manga)

Hidup, komik Indonesia! Yup, top DO WANT! this m&c! release is home-grown Koloni Jagoan volume 5.

Koloni Jagoan 5: Blade Bunny (m&c!)

Koloni Jagoan 5: Blade Bunny © Eric Kimball and Erwin Prasetya
Published by Gramedia/m&c!

Blade Bunny, the collaboration between American writer Eric Kimball and Indonesian comic artist Erwin Prasetya, tells the story of a sassy but deadly ninja as he/she/it faces off against a samurai clan and killer robots.

The fifth Koloni Jagoan also includes a new installment of C. Suryo Laksono's SEER: The Genchildren. A covert government agency sends a group of Indonesian children into the future to "save Indonesia." The kids are separated and land in different times and places; one of them, Abi, touches down in a country where the robots are masters and the humans, slaves. Abi, together with Tio, another Indonesian and the child of a tofu vendor, leads the human resistance against the mechanical despots.

The third story is Prajurit Dewa: Hero After Death by Hendrianto P.P. Long, long ago, the heavens were thrown in a frenzy by a savage demon with powers rivaling those of a god. A supernal trio casts a forbidden spell to create an equally vicious demon, Garuda, the invincible warrior god. Thousands of years hence, a new power awakens, a power that humans would kill for.

Now on to the manga side —

Spray King vol 4 of 4
By Mikuni Shin

The “lust”-driven battle peaks, forcing Spray King to cover the entire city with graffiti. But can Spray King protect all of Kotobuki's districts against The Boss?

New m&c! titles
Four new one-shot shoujo tankou: A Kiss in the Night, Yagami Rina's Yogoto Akuma to Kiss o Suru first serialized in Sho-Comi Zoukan; Love Comedy or Love Come, Morita Fuji's manga take on the novel penned by Matsuhisa Atsushi and Tanaka Wataru;Love is in The Air, Nanajima Kana's ex-Sho-Comi Air Koi anthology; and Words of Love, Sugiyama Miwako's Ai no Kotoba, originally serialized in ChuChu. Debuts previewed after the release list.

Cherry 59/2011 (m&c!)

Mangazines: Cherry 59/2011
m&c! hypes the ending of Ichikawa Show's I Love Dog and You and Nakamura Sayumi's Always by Your Side in the latest Cherry. I assume the final I Love Dog and You is the the second of two Inu Jikan one-shots, Himitsu no Chikara, as the first—Sweet Love or Amakuchi Koigokoro—appeared in Cherry 58. I likewise assume that the last Always by Your Side is also a one-shot off Itsumo Soba ni Koi no Uta because Issue 58 featured the Addicted to Love (Koi no Mayaku) extra story.

Also running in the Indonesian Ciao/ChuChu/Sho-Comi/Flowers mangazine: Akaishi Michiyo's Dawn Aria josei manga (Akatsuki no ARIA, serialized in Flowers; latest m&c! tankou compile: volume 7 per December 2010); I am not a Maid! by Iwaoka Meme (Maid ja Naimon!, serialized in Ciao); My Lovely Class Leader by Nishimura Tomoko (Gokujou Mechamote Iinchou, also serialized in Ciao); latest m&c! My Lovely Class Leader vol 5 released 9 November); My Mysterious Neighbor by Nakajima Yuka (Tonari no Obake-san, another Ciao manga); Sweet Dog's Stories by Hotta Atsuko (need to confirm if the newest episode is also from Tengoku no Monogatari ~Zutto, Zutto, Isshoni~); and Arai Kiyoko's Yomogi Loves Money? (Yomogi Mochi Kaketa? first serialized in ChuChu).

A note on the special priced sets

Post holiday, get-back-to-normal days... and I must get back into a photo-making  routine. I haven't done a photo-a-day project for two years; maybe I need that commitment to ensure that I at least get the camera out of the bag more often.

For now, I just need to get through December.

Bleach 44, Tabi and Fellow Travelers 3, Mail Girlfriend 1 by Oshima Towa (m&c! 23 November 2011 manga) [UPDATED]

Haven't led with a Bleach cover for awhile and luck of the draw gives me...Tōsen Kaname. Ah, well, the last time I got Yammy Llargo; there's a certain...I don't know...synchronicity?

Bleach 44 (m&c!)

Bleach © Kubo Tite/Shueisha [Serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump]
Published in Indonesia by Gramedia/m&c!

Rukia is powerless before Espada Yammy's Cero! Good thing a transformed Ichigo busts into Las Noches and comes to her aid. So, too, do Byakuya and Kenpachi, with Rukia's onii-sama ordering Ichigo to leave Yammy to them and return to Karakura-chou to kick Aizen's a*se.

So why is Tōsen the cover boy? Wiki shares: Shinji starts fighting Aizen, while Tōsen attacks his former comrades, Komamura and Hisagi, with his new Hollow powers. Turned into a Hollow, Tōsen overwhelms Komamura...

GET! m&c!'s Bleach 44: Vice It for the rest.

Vice It compiles chapters 378 through 386: Eyes of the Victor, Falta de Armonia, Devil, Devil, Devil, Devil, Words Just Don't Like You, The United Front 「Discordeque Mix」, TOO EARLY TO TRUST, Can't Fear Your Own Sword, Vice It and Bells Are Blue. [NOT m&c!'s chapter titles] The latest tankou chapter is 459, Death & Strawberry 2, bound in Volume 52: End of Bond (Japan release: 2011.10.04) but not for long. Volume 53 streets in Japan on 2 December.

Tabi's rapidly gaining fans, as shown by the number of DO WANT! it got, placing it behind Bleach.

Tabi and Fellow Travelers vol 3 of 6
By Tanakanoka

Shyness and an inability to express herself made peers shun Tabi when she was younger. Only Kou-chan refused to distance himself from her. Tabi's heart always calmed down whenever she heard Kou-chan's stories of a star- and light-filled world. But what of Kurone who got rejected by Tabi?

New m&c! manga
Surprisingly, it's m&c! that licensed Mail Girlfriend. Surprising because Oshima Towa's Mel Kano. first serialized in the seinen Sunday GX, so you'd be forgiven for thinking that if any Indonesian publisher were to publish it, it would've been Level Comics. Neway, I preview Mail Girlfriend and the other debuts—Images of You 1 (Goto Junpei's Ginen Shounen, first serialized in Shonen Sunday Super), Our Gentle Love (Satsuki Mikiko's Futari Koi Fuwari. from the now defunct ChuChu) and Kurumatani Haruko's Suddenly Kiss (Sho-Comi's Ai Kiss - Idol Kiss)—after the release list.
