When we last left Orihime, she had just been ambushed by Cuarta Espada Ulquiorra Cifer while en route to Karakura chou. Ulquiorra tells ‘Hime that should she resist, he will kill off all her friends. The next day, Ichigo and the Bleach All-Stars discover that Orihime has disappeared. Soul Society refuses to go after her, prompting Ichigo (and Chad and Ishida) to track Orihime down to the Hollows' world, Hueco Mundo.
And that's Bleach 27, poignantly titled goodbye, halcyon days.
NEW TITLES: Shoujo meets Les Foot-maniac
m&c! brings us three new shoujo manga: The Best Selection of Akaishi Michiyo, Cash by Kawazoe Mariko, and When Love is Hiding by Shiumi Saki.
The Best of... anthology is the first of two such compiles from Dawn Aria creator Akaishi Michiyo. Five of the Best Selection of Akaishi Michiyo shorts (Twilight Cat,
Tea Town's Rabbits,
Let's Meet at London's Time,
I Can't Be Deneuve,
and Who's The Idol?!
) are apparently teh usual shoujo romance fare, but one, Laundry,
is a murder set in (where else but) a coin-operated laundromat.
Cash or Cash² by The Lovely Wizard manga-ka seems a bit laidback for a manga with such a mercenary title. It stars Yuuya, living the happy life after he is invited out on a date by school idol Shiratori Momoko. I'm assuming that Cash
has something to do with the secret Yuuya uncovers during the date.
When Love is Hiding or Koigokoro Senpukuchuu by Shiumi Saki (Pure Love Junky, My Rival is My Love) is actually the first of three books celebrating the Kuze-kun x Ritsuka romance. The premise is simple: Ritsuka tries to win a legendary love, just like her sister, by finding the seven love myths of Ryousei Academy. Her only problem, the school's scariest student Kuze-kun is always in her way. (The sequels are Koikokoro Koushinchuu and Koigokoro Kyoumeichuu.)
The last two noobs are volumes 1 and 2 of the French Bamboo-published comics series Les Foot-maniac (Maniak Sepakbola/Soccer Maniacs): Hidup FC Palajoy!!!, originally Les Foot-maniac, tome 1: Allez les Bleus!) by Sulpice & Jenfevre and Priiit!!! Keluar Stadion (Les Foot-maniac, tome 2) by Jack & Béka. Required reading for the World Cup 2010?

- Dragon Girl 4 (penultimate): Rinna can't stop liking Subaru, but the object of her affection rebuffs her kokuhaku. Yaotome tries to cheer Rinna up, but the broken-hearted girl has something more difficult on her plate. Sakuya's father has returned to Japan.
- Meet the Banchou 2: The “23 District Project” gets underway, and Kongoh Banchou must defeat all sorts of gang leaders. He just never envisioned he would be fighting religious, cowardly, even naïve ones!

ADAPTATIONS
Studio Pierrot's anime adaptation began TV broadcast in October 2004 and continues to this day. Season 15, the return to the Fake Karakura Town arc, opened with episode 266 on 2010.04.13; the latest episode 273 Same no mōi! Halibel kaihō
(鮫の猛威！ハリベル解放; Fury of the Shark! Halibel Releases
) aired on 2010.06.01). Seiyuu Morita Masakazu and Orikasa Fumiko star as leads Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia. Park Romi and Namikawa Daisuke play 10th Division captain Hitsugaya Toshiro and Arrancar Ulquiorra Cifer respectively. At least two OAVs and three theatrical movies—Bleach the Movie: Memories of Nobody, Bleach the Movie: The DiamondDust Rebellion, Another Hyōrinmaru, and Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black, I Call Your Name—have been released.
Eight drama CDs have been produced so far. Featuring the original anime seiyuu, the drama CDs were bundled with the DVDs.
