An unaired OAV side story, Kuroshitsuji: Sono Shitsuji, Kōgyō, shipped with DVD volume 9.

    A second series—Kuroshitsuji II—premieres this July with a new master and butler pair designed by Toboso Yana: butler Claude Faustus (voiced by seiyuu Sakurai Takahiro) and master Alois Trancy (Mizuki Nana).

    Two drama CDs were issued earlier than the anime. The first Kuroshitsuji Drama CD, released August 2007 by Geneon Entertainment, featured seiyuu Morikawa Toshiyuki, Takashiro Genki, Suzuki Chihiro, and Seki Tomokazu. The second Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) Karei Naru Drama CD, released November 2008 by Sony Music Entertainment, featured the anime cast.

    A musical adaptationThat Butler, Friendship (その執事、友好 Sono Shitsuji, Yūkō)—enjoyed a theater run from May 28, 2009 to June 7, 2009. A second stage musical, Musical Kuroshitsuji: The Most Beautiful DEATH in The World - Sen no Tamashii to Ochita Shinigami had Matsushita Yuya reprising his role as Sebastian Michaelis. Nishii Yukito, instead of Sakamoto Shougo, played the role of Ciel Phantomhive in the second musical that ran between 3 and 23 May 2010 in Japan.

    A 25-episode anime adaptation by Nippon Animation aired from October 2006 to March 2007 on Japan's TV Aichi. Seiyuu Takaguchi Yukiko, Morikubo Showtaro, Yamauchi Yuuya, Sugita Tomokazu, and Nojima Hirofumi were cast as leads Nakahara Sunako, Takano Kyohei, Toyama Yukinojo, Takenaga Oda, and Morii Ranmaru. Series director Nabeshin (Watanabe Shinichi) voiced Sunako's former crush in the first episode.

    Three years later, the manga was (loosely) adapted into a 10-episode live-action renzoku, which aired on TBS from January to March 2010. Kamenashi Kazuya, Oomasa Aya, Tegoshi Yuya, Uchi Hiroki, and Miyao Shuntaro were cast as Kyohei, Sunako, Yukinojo, Takenaga, and Ranmaru. The series also included the drama-only character Nakahara Takeru (the landlady's son, played by Kato Seishiro). J-pop group KAT-TUN performed the theme Love yourself ~Kimi ga Kirai na Kimi ga Suki~.
