In Event Horizon, the world where souls must pass before they enter hell, lies Kucabara, third son of the demon king. Stripped of his demon powers and banished from the demon world for behaviour unbecoming of their kind, he now takes on the role of a ‘Defense Devil’ — a lawyer of hell who protects the rights of human clients unjustly condemned.
Chuang Yi finally follows up its simplified Chinese Defense Devil premiere with the English equivalent, allowing English-reading fans to follow the demon defense counsel in his quest to collect sinners' dark matter and regain his powers.
Defense Devil isn't the only debut. A manga spin-off of the original Beyblade anime—Metal Fight Beyblade—also premieres, along with Pokémon Rise of Darkrai, the cinemangafication of Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl the Movie: Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai.

Adaptations
Tatsunoko Pro, Synergy SP and Nelvana adapted Metal Fight Beyblade to anime. Fifty-one episodes comprising Season 1 and the follow-up Battle Bladers aired on TV Tokyo from April 2009 to March 2010. A new series, Metal Fight Beyblade Explosion, began telecast on the same network in April 2010. By 18 July 2010, the first arc, Big Bang Bladers, had logged 16 episodes. Seiyuu Nazuka Kaori, Irino Miyu, Sanpei Yuko and Kanada Aki voiced the characters Tendou Yuu, Ootori Tsubasa and Kadoya Masamune and Hagane Ginga.
The Metal Fight Beyblade VS the Sun - The Movie: Sol Blaze, the Scorching-hot Invader animated feature is expected to premiere in Japan in August 2010.
The anime was retitled Beyblade: Metal Fusion for the North American market.
