Hello Master 1, Penguin Revolution 6, With My Brothers 8 (Elex 22 September 2010 manga)

Hello Master 1 (Elex Media)

Yoroshiku Master © Tsukuba Sakura/Hakusensha (Serialized in LaLa DX)
Published in Indonesia as Hello Master by Elex Media Komputindo

Elex's 22 title-strong 22 September release favorites Tsukuba Sakura manga, what with debuting Hello Master and penultimate Penguin Revolution (volume 6) racking up the DO WANT! points. This despite having to take on heavyweights One Piece (volume 55) and Fairy Tail (volume 7).

(The other LaLa shoujo manga this sked—With My Brothers 8 and the penultimate Beauty Honey (volume 2)—aren't doing too shabbily either.)

Hello Master boasts a fairly novel premise (or if another Santa × Reindeer 'ship lurks out there, I've yet to bump into it). Who doesn't know that Santa Claus goes around delivering presents on Christmas eve, and that reindeer (Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen, plus point reindeer Rudolph, according to the song) ferry St. Nick's sleigh all over the world on what has got to be the most non-negotiable of all non-negotiable deadlines? What remains hidden is a Santa “clause” provisoing continuity by making the job hereditary, mandating reindeer to search for his (or her?) Santa up to this day.

So, introducing reindeer Kaito who press-gangs Master Sagara Kurumi into gift courier service, whether she wants to or not.

(I babble about other newbies—the mass-energy equivalence meets Yggdrasil Global Garden by Hiwatari Saki (Please Save My Earth manga-ka) and the fraud victim meets Persian cat Manekineko Real Estate—after the release list.)

Penguin Revolution 6 of 7 by Tsukuba Sakura

“Stairs of Dreams” snaffles the Best Foreign Language Film award at the Monaco film fest, affording Ryo, Ayaori and Fujimaru the chance to fly to the Mediterranean principality. At the hotel, Ayaori finally uncovers (Wholesome Crossdresser) Fujimaru's secret. (Yeah, yeah, you know he would've found out earlier if he weren't Blind Without Glasses.) But the shock pales in comparison with Aya (and Ryo) discovering the identity of the guest star for Peacock's upcoming stage performance.

MANGAZINES: Nakayoshi 84 and Shonen Star 72

Nakayoshi Gress! celebrates six years in the mangazine biz (or so I calculate from Wiki's article), and aside from a sweet postcard furoku, you get the new Counting Sheep by Moro Orie in anniversary Issue 84. (And according to this source, this NakaGress also contains the Shugo Chara! and Boy Friend finales.)

Meanwhile, no new Shonen Sunday series premieres nor conclusions in Shonen Star 72, so content yourself with cover boy Azuma's and other reigning ShoStars' continuing exploits.

Babble continued behind the fake cut.

Albert Einstein, deeply regretting how E = mc² unleashed the power of the atom, triggering Yggdrasil's imminent demise, tries to atone by dispatching two boys into the future to seek The One who can restore Yggdrasil to life.

With My Brothers 8 of 11 by Tokeino Hari

Aunt Michiyo, Masashi's former caretaker, arrives to matchmake Masashi, and he consents to be introduced to the omiai prospect, much to Sakura's agitation. But meeting the woman who resembles Sakura's mom only flusters Masashi. For instead of coming on to him, the woman comes on to Sakura!

Nakayoshi Gress! 84/2010 premieres Counting Sheep by Moro Orie

Nakayoshi Gress 84/2010

As earlier noted, this Indonesian Nakayoshi anniversary issue debuts Counting Sheep, which I speculate is Moro Orie's Hitsuji ga Ippiki:

Orphan Mei lives together with her older brother, but her days of peace are numbered, for not long after, an accident robs her of onii-chan.

Midnight Scans (description excepted by Baka-Updates Manga), adds that Mei's next “roommate” is kidnapper Reon. (Are we looking at a Stockholm Syndrome here?)

The rest of the Nakayoshi pals in this issue:

Hashiguchi Takashi's 49th Shogakukan Manga Award-winning shounen manga Yakitate!! Japan headlines Shonen Star 72, with Azuma battling Marco, the “divine” pizzaiolo capable of turning even Kuroyanagi into a baby bird.
