Saw this trio of 3L shoujo manga over the weekend. Thought I'd advise because you never know, someone reading The Confessions of Lady Nijo or I Love High School might stumble upon my blog and need to know that volume 3 (Lady Nijo) and volume 2 (I ♥ HS) represent series finales.

Miou Serina's iteration of the Japanese classic Towazugatari, commonly translated into English as The Confessions of Lady Nijo, christens the historical figure (a concubine of Emperor Go-Fukakusa) Akako. 3L's blurb describes Akako as a woman who lives for love. Needless to say (but the synop does say it), Akako pursues a love unchanging and exclusive, which paradoxically lures her into the arms of a lot of men. Does this fictional Lady Nijo end up a Buddhist nun like her namesake? I don't know. I didn't get the manga.

Meanwhile, in Yokoyama Mayumi's I Love High School volume 2, Megu learns that her love for childhood friend Yamato ain't unrequited after all. But just as high school sparkles with even more promise, a new teacher shows up and makes servants out of all of them.

The sole debut, (the licensed) Sensitive Area by Momono Miku that I advised as an Upcoming, apparently encloses the Summer King one-shot, which to me sounds more intriguing than the antho-christener starring a heroine who evidently doesn't mind going all the way, if it's with a boy she likes.
