City Cards: Air Series







Its been too long but we are delighted to have another Air artist in our postcard racks. Chity Soy Yo is an illustrator, graphic designer and toymaker from Montevideo. His series of postcards shows his Amigurumi creations. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures.



Cycle 15 and 16 Activity





In Cycle 15,16 and now 17 we have run campaigns for Horrible Bosses, Tarantula Falls, Carling Cup, MEAS, Crisis Pregnancy, Carlsberg, Ballygowan, Meteor, Eristoff Vodka, Vodaofone, Bulmers, 7up, Movie Fest, Miller and WKD.



The Street Team undertook a successful and popular Little Big Gesture activity for FBD at Apple Green Garage in Mount Merrion, Dublin. The customers of the garage were pleasantly surprised to receive a a petrol voucher worth 5 euros.



The Street Team were also out in force around Croke Park last weekend providing money off vouchers for Bulmers in the pubs surrounding the ground.

We also have some new i-site research which we will share with you over the coming weeks.



Through our City Card racks we carried campaigns For Vodafone Comedy Festival, Irish Seed Savers, Bulmers' Doing our Bit' and the electic shop Find.



June: City Cards



June is always an exciting month for our postcard racks as they are filled with a mixture of commercial and artistic postcards.

This month’s artistic postcards come from a combination of photography students from Griffith College and independent artists that approach us to distribute their pieces in postcard format.

We received an assortment of designs produced by The Dalkey Book Festival which is on this weekend- hopefully the rain will stay away. The festival was set up to celebrate and foster the wealth of literary talent in and around the town.

March Media

The Picture Works have been busy for the past couple of weeks. The legendary AMI ( Alternative Miss Ireland If you ain't in the know) printed a City Card to promote their show in the Olympia. The postcard was designed by Niall Sweeney of pony design . We also ran a campaign for 'Charlie Casanova' which was being shown at SXSW during the month.

This month we announced our annual art competition with a slightly later closing date this year of June 21st. Check out our site for more information on how to enter the competition.

We had campaigns running on our Super Screens (which just for Eco watchers have a carbon offset, every time they are used) for Jameson Dublin Film Festival and for Guinness Rugby. They looked as impressive as ever in both in day light and at night.

Recently we have been working on developments with these screens and can now offer them displaying 3D , yes we will organise the glasses and the venue. We also developed the capability link these screens to tablet computers and means we can bring interactive apps to the big screen. When we say big we mean big 100 mtr screen.

Not resting on our laurels we have also fine tuned our interactive light projections to turn high street windows into interactive screens, think minority report and you more or less have the idea.

Not to neglect the media research side of things our media has performed really well in tgi research with City Cards blowing all other Out of Home Media out of the water for 15-24 year olds. Heineken Green Spheres in Galway


In order to promote upcoming the Heineken Green Spheres gigs in Galway, Heineken printed and distributed both A1 and A3 posters as well as postcards with The Picture Works. We distributed the posters in venues around Galway City. The postcards went into out 25 postcard racks that we also have in Galway. After 1 week Heineken provided us with new creative and we printed and distributed a fresh batch of posters and postcards which revealed that The Go! Team and Cut/Copy would be playing gigs in March. City Cards: Black Swan Postcard Packs


This month to celebrate the release of Black Swan, Fox Searchlight Pictures printed and distributed a beautiful postcard pack through our City Card network throughout Ireland. Each pack contains 4 postcards which are dark and enchanting much like the mood of the film itself. They are flying out of our racks so grab a pack while you can.

City Cards: December




It is December Christmas and 2011 fast approaching with prospect of change to be embraced.
As our urban centres busy themselves for the final christmas rush are city card racks are full and ready to entertain and inform.

Luas have 2 postcard campaigns for Dublin promoting their innovative Hop Shop and Drop service which is a shopping bag minding service. Pretty smart you got to admit! With that there is also have a competition to win free Luas travel for a year. The second promotes the Luas night service which is even running on New Years Eve. Their website also has full details.

There are a number of Christmas cards running through the racks. One is from the folks at St James Gate. We have also produced one ourselves which we hope you like. Thames and Hudson used an image from their Manolo Blahnik book -it looks stylish and festive.

There is also a very stylish card for Find which brings something new and passionate to Temple Bar. The John Galliano quote rings true 'this is a credit crisis and not a creative crisis'.

I particularly like the Aware card - a hopeful beach!

This is the month of Tron. Technology is to the fore with this months cover with augemented reality from Buena Vista. Slick. The first time we have had an augmented reality piece through the racks .

The HSE have the creative campaign for promoting safe sex with 5 executions in total.

City Cards: November

This month we have lots of exciting campaigns running through our City Card racks. Taste of Christmas printed an A5 leaflet to promote their event in the Convention centre which begins tonight at 6 and goes on till Sunday.

Aviva Insurance printed a postcard to run in conjunction with their Mind the gap campaign. Check out their website to see if you are saving enough for your retirement.

Top Gear Festival
are using our racks to promote their festival which kicks off this evening out in City West.

The Other Half are using our racks to spread awareness of their White Ribbon campaign.

Des Bishop has a card in our racks which has the details of his Irish tour on the reverse.

Alternative Miss Ireland have a postcard in our racks to promote their upcoming Alternative Miss Ireland pagent. Check out the entry details here.

City Cards: October

Our City Card racks are full of interesting creative at the moment. Find, a new shop for old things has opened in 5 Scarlet Row. Find - reclamations of love is a space that specialises in designorientated furniture, objects of true beauty and art pieces, selling everything from gilded skulls to reloved furniture, old prints and vintage wear. Leanonme.net have a cards in the racks promotion Depression awareness. Depresion affects 1 in every 5 people but 75% never get treatment. Find out more here.

Jameson also have a card promoting their Easygoing competiton. The winner will receive a trip to Barcelona for them and 3 friends. Enter on Facebook.

Dublin City Council Integrated Street Media Campaign


Our creative wing Foundry has created a campaign for Dublin City council professional cycling Street Race on Saturday 19th June which is part of bike week. The image was inspired by the graphics from the Munich Olympics.
The campaign includes City Cards , Direct mail piece, i-site posters and A2 poster displayed in cycle shops throughout Dublin.

City Cards June 2010


Many of this month's City Cards clients have integrated campaigns with our other media. Jameson Mix It Up, Dublin City Council Street Racing and Dalkey Book Fair also have i-site campaigns.

Carlsberg Cat Laughs printed an A5 City Card as well as availing of our Light Walkers to promote the festival.

The winners of our 2010 art competition are also hitting the streets this month.

have a campaign promoting have a campaign promoting their event with ten different executions which all look superb.

Irish Seed Savers, a company close to our hears are bringing their message to urban settings.

We are also distributing booklets for Gay Pride, MEAS festival guide, Dalkey Book Club Fair and as always Movies Plus.

DIT Design Show Postcards



This month, DIT students studying Vis Com, Interior Design and Product Design have decided to use our postcard racks to promote their up coming design show. Each student printed between 100 and 400 postcards using their own design to promote the exhibition which resulted in 34 different cards! The cards will be distributed in our city centre venues and each rack will have a different student's design in it! If you are interested in doing some thing similar get in touch.

The show itself is on 8-12th June in The Complex in the Smithfield Plaza. Going by the standard of the postcard designs the exhibition will definitely be worth a visit!

City Card Sampling


Shelly Cards from Israel recently sent us some postcards that effectively include product sampling as part of the card. Simple solutions are always the best.

This will work well for any assortment of products. If your product can be packaged in a sachet or something similar and you would like to distribute up to 30,000 units through our network of postcard racks in cafes and bars, please get in touch.

City Cards March





We have new city cards hitting the street.

We know spring is on the way when the always stand out alternative miss ireland card is printed and distributed. The great design comes from niall sweeneys pony studio. The pagent goes ahead this sunday 14th march at Olympia. Do yourself a favour and arrive on time as the mistress of ceremonies, Panti's intro to proceedings is a highlight.

For those men who burn the midnight oil, l'oreal have a new ice cool eye roll on to rejuvenate tired eyes this campaign is also running through our media, you know the score - you're worth it!

Concern have an exhibition 'women of concern' photographic exhibition at gallery of photography in Meeting House Square in Temple Bar from March 2 -21st.

Every thursday in march is ticket thursday so when you present your valid prepaid dublin bus ticket you will receive discount and offers in participating stores and restaurants, pick up a card for further details.

Love action calls for support for opening up civil marriage to same sex couples.

Our start card this month comes from that wonderful street art gallery that we happened upon in Seville.

Our City Card racks have just been refilled with lots of new campaigns.

Opera Ireland want you to celebrate Valentine's Day by going to see the ever popular 'Romeo et Juliette' or 'I Capuleti e i Montecchi'!

City Cards: January

We started our year with lots of new campaigns in our racks.

Lynx have a postcard promoting their new spray called Twist. The postcard is running in conjunction with a tv campaign. The fragrance itself is more like a high-end fragrance than a deodorant! It features top, middle and base notes, so that the fragrance changes over time.

Marie Stopes also have a postcard promoting their Clever dick safe sex campaign.

Jameson Empire Awards have a card in our racks featuring details on how to enter their Done in 60 seconds campaign. Enter it online at entertainment.ie
This month our Start series features graffiti from the Jardines del Guadalquivir street art gallery.

City Cards November




Our City Card Social Media is having a busy month.

The Glasnevin Trust has a 3 execution campaign promoting walking tours and genealogy searches.

Jameson are running a campaign for a competition to win their home bar kit. Get that party started!

Miller also have a competition running untill Dec 13th.

Barnardos also have a campaign asking people to sign their petition online to protect children in the 2010 Budget.

A City Card campaign in 48 hours

It is now possible to turn around a City Card campaign in Dublin in 48 hours, that includes printing and distribution.

Samsung/ Vodafone have been the first to do this for the launch of the new Ping. The Ping is now available at Vodafone shops nationwide.
