You know by now, right, that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya S2 finale'd on Animax last Wednesday? Well, this bookends.

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya premieres 1 June 2011, Wednesday, 7PM WIB (UTC+7), on Animax Asia. Japanese audio with subtitles.

One morning Kyon arrives only to find that everything has changed. Haruhi and Koizumi are both missing and Ryoko has mysteriously returned. On top of this, Asahina can't seem to recognize Kyon and Nagato is just an ordinary human. For some reason, Kyon is the only one aware of the changes and no one remembers about Haruhi or the SOS Brigade.

Kyon finds a clue left by the alien version of Nagato in the form of a bookmark. She tells him that he has to gather ‘keys’ to run a program. After bringing all the necessary keys for the program built by the alien version of Nagato, Kyon is shocked to find who is behind everything.

This time, she's gone too far | The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2 premieres 6 April 2011 on Animax Asia

That's tonight at 730PM WIB (UTC+7). Animax's season 2 starts with Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, unlike the Japanese TV 2009 renewal, which mixes old and new episodes and opens with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 1.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2 premieres 6 April 2011, 730PM WIB, on Animax Asia and airs every Wednesday thereafter. Starting 13 April, however, airing time moves up to 7PM, with two episodes telecast back to back.

Plot-wise, the Animax synopsis holds no surprises:

The second season of the hit series sees Haruhi Suzumiya and the SOS Brigade continuing their crazy search for aliens, espers and time travelers.
