I love this metal flag. I bought it many years ago... can't remember which festival or crafts show. It's hung high on a tree and when the wind picks up it flaps back and forth. I tried once to get a long exposure of it dancing in the wind, but couldn't get everything just right.
I noticed this morning that the sun is already lower in the sky and the shadows are getting longer. Autumn can't come too soon for me.
I know this is oh-so-been-done-before, but I feel as though I am on autopilot lately.... and I had a dead rose and I wanted to create harsh shadows and this was the result.
I have decided (lol, I am rarely that set-in-stone... there is always an escape clause!) to do a photographic challenge for October of shadows. The sun, lowering itself into winter, will hopefully give me inspiration and if not, I will create my own shadows.
