Sky-pirate Coud Van Giruet lucks on a most unexpected treasure during a routine raid. Reverie Metherlence insists on going to Edel Garden, a prosperous land that is the birthplace of Edel Raid, the strongest living weapon capable of interacting with humans. But entering Edel Garden proves more challenging than either could have foreseen, what with a shady organization plotting all manner of nefarious upon the Edel Raids.

Baka-Updates Manga users tag Eremental Gerad with the expected Sentient Weapon, Special Abilities, Pirates, but adds Kuudere, defined as an anime/manga slang term for a character that is cold, blunt, cynical, and pretty much doesn't care if her beloved dies. Wonder who's the kuudere in Eremental Gerad? Is it Ren? (The anime aired so long ago, I can't even remember what happened in the first eppie, let alone the series. >.<) Urban Dictionary gives C.C. from Code Geass as its kuudere example.

Other Azuma Mayumi manga
Baka-Updates Manga shares that Before her career as a mangaka took off, she started out working as an assistant to Amano Kozue. I guess it's safe to say that Eremental Gerad is Azuma Mayumi's breakout manga; even after the 18th volume (published 2010.03.10 in Japan), she's still running with it — with the spin-off Erementar Gerad: Aozora no Senki (six Blade Comics volumes published between July 2004 and March 2010; ongoing).

Before either Eremental Gerad or EG: Aozora no Senki, Azuma Mayumi-sensei published Vampire Savior - Tamashii no Mayoigo (Square Enix Gangan Comics: volumes 1 to 5 of 5 from 1998.06 to 2001.10), Star Ocean: The Second Story (seven Gangan Comics volumes between 1999.05 and 2001.11), the sports comedy Get! (Gangan Comics: 2000.03) and the Night Walker! Azuma Mayumi Tanpenshū compile (Gangan Comics: 2000.03). I don't know if m&c! has published any of them.

Her current serial is Toraneko Folklore, serialized in Comic Blade (volume 3 street date: 2011.12.10).

Moar talk of manga and manhwa after the release list.

Idol's Love Story 7, Love Sick 1 by Morie Satoshi, Triple launch: Ai Hime - Love & Secret by Mitsuki Kaco (m&c! 5 October 2011 manhwa and manga) [UPDATED]

Update: And we graduate from List Version into NikBabble™ (Don't worry; I include m&c! artwork and blurbs, too.)

Idol School of Noble's Story © Han YuRang/Samyang
Published in Indonesia as Idol's Love Story by Gramedia/m&c!

In Idol's Love Story vol. 7 —

Ian hauls out the Incest Card and rejects Lang Land outright; Lang Land in turn rejects Ian's rejection of her love confession, forcing her step-brother to take extreme measures.

Just how extreme? The cover above prolly clued you in, but you'll hafta GET! the We're More Than Halfway Thru Idol's Love Story to confirm.

For you on Team Jang Gun × Lang Land, your ’ship's (also) in danger of sinking as Jang Gun's dad pressures his son to choose between Lang Land and his friends. (Pronoun ambiguity deliberate :P)

New m&c! manga
Heck, all the manga titles are newbs. There's Mitsuki Kaco's Taboo Love Ai Hime - Love & Secret triple-launching and the debut of Morie Satoshi's shoujo gender bender Love Sick. Cherry grad Super Sweet Honey by Aoi Michiru gets the tankou treatment and Nakashima Kazuki × Karakara Kemuri's Takeru: Opera Susanoh Sword of the Devil premieres. Exclusively shoujo, BTW.

Featuring Love Sick (jebolan or ex-HanaYume) up here. That's one of the perks to owning this blog, and for you, the downside(?) to sed owner stalking Morie Satoshi (manga-ka of School Hotel). Mitsuki Kaco fans (and Takeru: Opera Susanoh and Super Sweet Honey interested parties), scroll awaaay.

Love Sick © Morie Satoshi
Hakusensha [First serialized
in Hana to Yume]
Published in Indonesia
by Gramedia/m&c!

She would go on to publish the three-volume, bishounen named for seasons (‘Haru (spring) the prince, Natsu (summer) the bishounen, Aki (autumn) the womanizer, and Fuyu (winter) the cold-hearted genius’) gender bender Love Sick...

...is what I noted under Other Morie Satoshi manga when We Love You, Shiro! premiered, and a couple months later, we get Love Sick—oh, you wanted a more informative blurb?

Shiki enrolls in a rich kids' school disguised as guy to wreak revenge on the principal, responsible for her father's death. There she meets Haru, Natsu, Aki and Fuyu, her dad's former patients. Shiki discovers that not only are they popular, they all suffer from a mysterious illness, too. To sway the fab foursome to her side, Shiki threatens to divulge their secret.

Does Shiki succeed in Mission: Avenge? Whatever the final outcome, it will likely only become apparent by the third Love Sick volume, published in Japan in February 2010. (The first tank streeted April 2009.) As for what ails Shiki's Reverse Harem, perhaps the manga title Love Sick is the clue? Especially as the chapter titles are actually styled SICK, as in 1st ~ 6th SICK (that comprise volume 1). Barring that, the Dissociative Identity Disorder mentioned in Baka-Updates' Love Sick entry?

I already mentioned School Hotel or Gakkou Hotel above. No change to Morie Satoshi's backlist since the Shiro premiere, so just click the link to Other Morie Satoshi manga three paragraphs above if you're interested to know moar.

Millennium Snow 1 and 2 by Hatori Bisco, Lieru's Love Power 1 and 2 by Nakahara An (m&c! 18 May 2011 manga)

Also Hwang MiRee and Han YuRang manhwa and the complete C-blossom restock

See Tamaki and Kyouya before they became Tamaki and Kyouya :D

Sennen no Yuki © Hatori Bisco/Hakusensha
[First serialized in LaLa]
Published in Indonesia as Millennium Snow by Gramedia/m&c!

I kid, but yup, m&c! double launches what is prolly the best vampire shoujo manga out there — Millennium Snow by Hatori Bisco, whom you already know thanks to Ouran High School Host Club.

“Can I spend eternity with you?”

Chiyuki will not live to see the next snowfall, or so her doctors say, because of her heart problems; Touya doesn't relish living the thousand years a vampire is ‘gifted’ with.

Will Touya agree to giving blood—and a new life—to Chiyuki by making her his life mate?

Millennium Snow went on hiatus at volume 2 to allow Hatori Bisco-sensei to concentrate on Ouran, but with Ouran's conclusion, perhaps Sensei (the best friend of Ogura Akane of Absolute Peace Strategy fame) would be willing to pick up where she left off? In volume 2, Touya appears to have found the motivation to (un)living because of Chiyuki, but the arrival of Chiyuki's overprotective cousin Keigo threatens to wipe out Touya's hopes.

Per supernatural fic convention, Millennium Snow throws in the odd Werewolf Satsuki (the blond on the cover of volume 2), in addition to Illness, Imminent Death and Vampires.

Two English versions published earlier: VIZ Media's Millennium Snow and Chuang Yi's A Thousand Years of Snow. Included in Millennium Snow is Hatori Bisco's LaLa DX debut Isshunkan no Romance or A Moment of Romance.

As for the other newbies —

New m&c! titles

The two-volume Lieru's Love Power by Nakahara An (Kirarin Revolution manga-ka) debuts AND finishes this street date. Originally Kururun Lieru Change!, the Ciao series stars Kasuga Lieru, newly transferred to the Outou school of celebrities. Lieru would be your ordinary, extraordinarily strong fish out of water, except she can transform into other people, using the "Kururun Heart Touch" she got from the otherworldly cat(?) Doraemon, I mean, Nyakamura. When she's not shapeshifting, Lieru spends her time pining for student council president Tsubaki. Can Lieru "Kururun Heart Touch" Tsubaki to make him fall for her?

Well, Lieru will have problems as she loses her Kururun Heart Touch touch in Lieru's Love Power 2. Adding to her headaches is another transfer student Shusei who just can't leave Lieru alone, he even proposes to her!

Will Lieru turn to Shusei and ditch her unrequited Tsubaki lurve?

☆ Of the premiering standalone manga, two likewise graduated from Ciao: Flying Ice Angel by Imai Yasue (sequel to Miracle Ice Angel) and I Love Food and Karen-Chan by Akino Miru. The third comes via Sho-Comi — Color of Sky, Color of Love by Ichikawa Show. All three are Cherry mangazine alumni. The last debut is Moriyama Tsuru's Ibu: Satu yang Paling Berharga, the Big Comic Original seinen manga that m&c! promises would make you treasure your mom more. (I preview these manga after the release list.)

Perfect Love Project 1 by Han YuRang: From crude humor to (hopefully some) subliminity
Soonjung manhwa review by huamulan03 (Some rights reserved)
Rating: 6.75 of 10 ♥

The lowdown

Freckled school lunch thief Jung Daum constantly squabbles with perfect (plastic-surgeried) elder sis Jung Arem and their bickering degenerates into out and out catfight when they try to win the lurve of bishie school idol Jun Ki.
[Adapted from m&c!'s summary]

Thoughts and impressions
m&c!'s Sibling Rivalry/Love Triangle back cover blurb sends false signals, seriously simplifying this soonjung manhwa's premise and doing an injustice to its (albeit arguable) charm. Why do I say say say so? (Apologies to Hwang MiRee for co-opting her manhwa's title.)
