Guinness Rugby: iPhone app



Guinness Rugby, Initiative and The Picture Works are currently promoting the new "Area 22" Rugby iPhone application with a multi market ROI digital ambient campaign. The app is jam-packed with all you need to keep informed, entertained and in tune during the upcoming Irish Rugby Internationals.

The Picture Works designed, constructed and produced a giant iPhone installation with a large back drop incorporating Guinness Rugby above the line creative. Our giant iPhone is equipped with touch screen technology ala minority report which makes it hugely entertaining and interactive for the Guinness Rugby target as shown in the video above.

Diageo clients and publicans are thrilled with how this has unraveled so far. This style of ambient promotion would translate brilliantly to telecoms, alcohol, tourism, films and entertainment categories. Great to get this kind of engaging activity on a media plan as a media innovation or as a pr stunt. This could be very exciting if tied into/or used in conjunction with a brands digital platform also.

So far the installation has been implemented in Jury's, Baggot Inn, Sinnotts, The Bleeding Horse and Soho in Cork.
