NEW TITLES: Angin Musim Gugur (Deluxe): Chizumi & Fujiomi Series 1 by Hikawa Kyoko

by Elex Media

I get that the Chizumi & Fujiomi series is as classic as Dunia Mimpi; why reissue otherwise? But if like me you have no idea of who Chizumi and Fujiomi are, let alone why they rate preferential treatment (at an IDR 22,000 price tag)... *directs you to the Angin Musim Gugur (Deluxe) blurb below*

Chizumi's beloved sister exchanges the family bosom for a husband's clinch, much to Chizumi's endless melancholy. Despite the “loss” of onee-chan, li'l sis essays resilience, a target that would've been easier to hit had she not misplaced the keepsake hat her only sister gave her, on the very day they bid good-bye to each other.

Fast forward to school. Amid acting tuff, Chizumi is called by a popular yet aloof school mate, Fujiomi. Having heard all the rumors about him, Chizumi is scared witless. She didn't do anything, so what does he want with her??

If it helps, Baka-Updates Manga users tag the series Opposites Attract, Classic Manga, Clumsy Heroine, Bishounen. A LaLa serial, Chizumi & Fujiomi was compiled in three tankou—Haru wo Matsukoro, Pastel Kibun and Gin Iro Ehon—before Hakusensha re-released it in two volumes in 2000. (Elex's Angin Musim Gugur (Deluxe) represents the relaunched Chizumi & Fujiomi 1.)

Do you need reminding? Hikawa Kyoko-sensei's last release here was Fairy-Tale - Motif Brocade (Otogimouyou Ayanishiki), which ended its Elex run in July.

REISSUES: The Complete New Kungfu Boy by Maekawa Takeshi

If you wanna (re)start your collection, Elex reissues the entire New Kungfu Boy martial arts shounen series in two RE-STO sets: volumes 1-10 and 11-20 of 20, each value bundle retailing for IDR 160,000. In Maekawa Takeshi-sensei's Tekken Chinmi universe, New Kungfu Boy succeeds the original Kungfu Boy and precedes the ongoing, volume-9-released-just-last-Wednesday Kungfu Boy Legends, serialized in the Indonesian Shonen Magz.

And speaking of mangazines

MANGAZINES: Shonen Magz 77 and Shonen Star 73 - Say good-bye to...

Two series apparently end in the mangazines streeting next Wednesday: Sanzoku Ou by Sawada Hirofumi in Shonen Magz 77 and Look Up! (Miagete Goran) by Kusaba Michiteru in Shonen Star 73. Deets after the manga list below.
