Canon by Usami Maki
Don't confuse this Usami Maki standalone with Shiomi Chika's vampire-troped Canon, also published by m&c!; this anthology compiles four shorts from Betsucomi. The antho-christener Canon
is a Student-Teacher romance:
Her father named her “Kanon” after his favorite classical music piece. One day, Kanon overhears someone playing her namesake; the pianist turns out to be Azuma-sensei, Kanon's math teacher.
From that moment on, Kanon associates Azuma-sensei with the piece beloved by her dad, and romantic feelings blossom.
But apparently, there's something more to that musical piece.
I'm wondering if the Canon
alluded to is Pachelbel's Canon, performed by the Neon Genesis Evangelion main characters on cello, viola and two violins in The End of Evangelion.

One day, Arata is injured saving Kaho from her own nervous wreck klutziness. Now Kaho has to work the same shift as the scary Arata!
