Hunt for The Thumb

Level premieres the seinen horror standalone Hunt for The Thumb, originally Yamada Yusuke & Ayamura Kirihito's Oyayubi Sagashi, first serialized in Comic Birz. As the title denotes, there's a hunt on for The Thumb, specifically, the digit missing from a corpse hewn to pieces by her murderers. A whole urban legend has sprung up over how the dead woman searches for her thumb, the most tantalizing of which concerns the supposed reward she will confer to whomever finds it.
Despite deeming the story so much gossip, a group of kids decides to join The Hunt. It was supposed to be just a lark, but things turn decidedly unfunny when one of the group, Yumi, disappears during the ‘game.’
Seven years on, Takeshi and the others decide to look for their missing friend, little knowing that The Thumb's owner hasn't stopped searching.
