Cha EunSoo still hasn't gone home, throwing cousin No GyuHyeon, boyfriend Sin HoWon and pals into total panic. Ex-BF Gang JaeHee also joins the search for the tomboy who has stolen his heart, but his enemies capitalize on the rumpus to wreak revenge on JaeHee.

I believe JaeHee will be able to track down EunSoo and rout those goons as an afterthought. After all, not only is he the ult jjang, he has to live up to the previous Female Wolf's Boy and his promise to keep her by my side and protect her!, a line that continues to resonate and weaken this fangirl's knees, three weeks after the fact.

Edit » GOT!, read and am giving Female Wolf's Boy 16 a grade of 8 of 10. Would've been higher if not for Why choose that story path?? and weird cliffie.

I'm amazed that the original only spans four volumes, when the sequel Hai, Miiko! has logged over 20 volumes and won the 1996 Shogakukan Manga Award for children's manga. (The most recent Kocchi Muite! Miiko 23—the 20th anniversary tankou?—streeted 2011.03 in Japan.)

Love So Life 3, Ugly Duckling Become Swan 11, Crazy Girl Shin Bia 1 by Hwang MiRee (m&c! 27 April 2011 manga and manhwa) [UPDATED]

*fans self* Hot (and hella long) in herre. *looks sideways at hortatory Cyan-san* :D

Speaking of compelling persuasion, props to m&c! hyping Crazy Girl Shin Bia as one of Hwang MiRee's best. This Smells like New Sexy Simpleton meets jjang hybrid stimulated enuf GET! salivation, I expect stock to run out. (Yes, hyperbolic much.)

Shin Bia, a beautiful but tuff orphan, has mastered such a scary array of martial arts, even gang bosses quail at the mere mention of her (not enough though to preclude nicknaming her Crazy Girl).

One day, a jade necklace whaps Crazy Girl upside teh head. Etched on the antique gold pendant is the kanji for “King.” And before you can say, “Look out behind you!”, Shin Bia is run over by Destiny — in the form of a handsome prince on a white steed.

That this soonjung romance manhwa is also known as Crazy girl Shin Bi-Ah goes to the alien world!! 「크레이지걸 신비아 이계로 가다!!」 ought to tell you why I liken it to New Sexy Simpleton, an earlier time-slipping Hwang MiRee product. Aside from Travel Back in Time into Alternate History and Strong Female Lead-ness, Possessive Lover also applies. (If that there cover isn't a hint, I don't know what is.)

All told, 19 volumes, so expect to shell out some IDR 318,400 if you become invested enough to collect. If it makes you feel any better, that rupiah total is roughly equivalent to USD 37.

(Lina-chan, I hope you appreciate the effort I put into adapting m&c!'s summary to make Love So Life sound a little less of a treadmill. For those of you who just went Wut? after reading that, Lina-chan fondly describes LSL thus for its jalan di tempat or walking with nowhere to go narrative. AKA treadmilling.)

Aoi Michiru's Super Sweet ☆ Honey (originally Sekai Seifuku ☆ Honey) headlines Cherry 53/2011 for the simple reason that the Love for you makes me stronger! ex-Ciao serial concludes this edition with Episode 3: Vol. 3: All for Love!

The other Ciao manga continuing their serialization are I am not a Maid! by Iwaoka Meme (Episode 3 this issue taken from Maid ja Naimon! volume 1), My Lovely Class Leader ♥ by Nishimura Tomoko (Episode 27 from Gokujou!! Mecha Mote Iinchou vol. 9) and the side story about The Other Girl × The Guy's Middle School Friend—Her Boyfriend!?—that attaches to She, Between He and Me, now that Morita Yuki's Kare to Kanojo to Kanojo has finished.

Meanwhile, we have a long way to go before Yomogi Loves Money? by Arai Kiyoko wraps: this issue's Episode 4 hails from Yomogi Mochi Yaketa? tankou 1 of 4.

Completing the mangazine installments are the Flowers josei drama Dawn Aria by Akaishi Michiyo (Episode 30 from Akatsuki no ARIA volume 9 of 11+) and sneak peeks into komikus Archie the Redcat's Panel!, Gita Juwita's Pakai Baju Apa Hari Ini? Yup, the last volume 6 of the sibcestuous Sugar Family #loveComplexity streets this week. Don't imitate me, forgetting to GET! because of drooling over the new Hwang MiRee manhwa. (More on this below.)

But before the fluffy manhwa attack (that prompted tweep freakenari-san to tell m&c!: Just run your sword through me now!), let's detour to a manga rife with vengeance, blood and other dark things:

Gunslinger Girl 12 of 13+ by Aida Yu

The Croce Incident continues to haunt Gian and Giose. The brothers' hatred peaks when the affair's mastermind returns and obliterates two SWA cyborgs. Revenge takes a temporary back seat as Giose faces a nodus of clashing interests: save cyborg assassin Henrietta, bleeding to death on the battlefront, or allow her to rest in peace... forever.

Gunslinger Girl 12 compiles chapters 67 through 73: A New Family, The Croce Affair (Parts 1-4), Fantasma (Part 2) and Addio. [*NOT m&c!'s titles] Let's hope m&c! doesn't take the same amount of time the Japanese publisher did to release volume 13 (one full year).

NOT (yet) Crazy Girl Shin Bia series from Hwang MiRee (that's still upcoming). For now we get the Secret Kiss Crab Kiss and Radio Love Triangle Say Say Say—plus the Elite School Romance Idol's Love Story, the latter from Han YuRang, who, like HMR, can crank out 72 series (and counting) because of a gaggle of assistants.

Say Say Say is the story of Yun Say, a high school girl who streams radio broadcasts from home, and her true-blue listener, Timeless. Yun Say is convinced she will someday meet Timeless face to face, but fate messes up her plans — throwing at Yun Say two bishies who exemplify polarity: cute and sweet En Jun Hwi × handsome and arrogant Seo Young Won. (I already know who I favorite.)

The Say Say Say romance promises complexity as only HMR can craft it, if the Radio Show, Friends Become Lovers, Friends Betrayal, Cool Male Lead, Boy Band tags Baka-Updates users append to this soonjung manhwa are any indication. [Moar previews and NikBabble© after the release list.]

☂, II Similar to last week, the restocked [RE-STO] shoujo manga overwhelm the STO/Standing Order, a trend that maintains till the 20 April release as m&c! apparently spring-cleans. But unlike last or next week, the 4.13 holdovers count Psychic Detective Yakumo (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru) 1 and 2 by Miyako Ritsu & Kaminaga Manabu among the escapees.

New m&c! titles

Fully half of m&c!'s 3.30 asplosion discharges newbies, if you include the two Jagoan Koloni local titles (launching KOLONI's high-octane action comics line). But even if you don't, 40% are still Pleased to Make Your Acquaintance. Let's not quibble over the fact that the 2×Watase Yuu anthologies—Books One and Two of Watase Yuu's The Best Selection—are actually recompiles of old one-shots, repackaged. Volume 1 DOKIDOKI Yagamin story!! My Kingdom 1 by Yagami Chitose is definitely new, as are the triple-launched P.A.R.T.N.E.R comedy manhwa by Ryu Seung-soon that Lina-chan recs as a definite GET! and the vampire-troped Ultramix Collection 1 by Mizuto Aqua. The Koloni Jagoan omnibuses are The Dreamcatchers and 1000 Giga Volts (click the orange titles for covers). The Dreamcatchers includes the eponymous story from Sweta Kartika, La Mia Indonezia by Satrio Galih Wicaksono & Muhammad Ismail and Fatamorgana by Mukhlis Nur & Wing Yudha. 1000 Giga Volts, meanwhile, consists of the antho christener by Bayu Harditama (creator of Jalan Komik), Atlas Chronicle from Kababonken Comics (I Want to Live) and Samu'I by Bening Andyani.

The lowdown on these new titles hides Behind The Cut, but mentioning up here that my only reason for contemplating buying Watase Yuu's The Best Selection—Book One, specifically—is the one-shot Touch You! Despite or prolly because it is the Stay in Touch! one-shot that closes Imadoki! volume 5, first published by m&c! in February 2003. (My copy carbon dates back to the April 2003 print run.) If only to read that short in original right-to-left, I would consider getting the first Watase Yuu Best antho. [Continued...]

The latest Cherry's front cover is Morita Yuki's Love Triangled Kare to Kanojo to Kanojo—ungrammatically rendered as She, Between He and Me—instead of “She, Between Him and Me” (yes, I'm a grammar nazi), or the canon subtitle Distance of our Love.
