Ghost's Doctor 4, Animal Doctor 7, Smash! 2 (Elex Media 18 May 2011 manga)

Hmmm, Shota (Smash!) is the only non-medico among the Elex top DO WANT!

Doubutsu no Oishasan © Sasaki Noriko/Hakusensha [First serialized in Hana to Yume]
Smash! © Saki Kaori/Kodansha [First serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine]
Published in Indonesia as Ghost's Doctor, Animal Doctor and Smash! by Elex Media

I like the changing of the seasons: the quickening from winter to spring, the peaking enthusiasm from spring to summer, the slight loneliness from summer to fall and the full-on melancholy from autumn to winter...I can't quite capture it words, but that's how it feels to me. But at the same time, time rushes by, and I'm thankful I've finished volume 4.

The volume 4 alluded above refers to Ghost's Doctor 4, the spokesperson obviously manga-ka (and actor/model) Sato Yuki who extends his Free Talks even to cover blurbs.

Now for a less chatty, more conventional synopsis:

Smash! 2 of 18 by Saki Kaori

Shota finally gets into Tojodaini High and comes face to face with his one-time challenger.

And another traditionalist summary, albeit it doesn't explain teh keeyooot puppy on the cover —

Animal Doctor 7 of 12 by Sasaki Noriko

It's Christmas, and Hamtel and Nikaido reminisce back to five years ago when they were locked in the storeroom as they rummaged for tree ornaments, worrying whether they'd get free before new year comes around.

New titles: Doraemon Movie - Petualangan Nobita di Laut Selatan

After Petualangan Nobita di Kota Mainan comes another Doraemon Movie manga double launch—Petualangan Nobita di Laut Selatan—based on the 1998 Nobita's South Sea Adventure feature film.

A school homework leads Nobita and friends to a treasure hunt in the south seas, but en route to the treasure island, their ship collides with a pirate ship. Not only do they lose their ship, they also lose Doraemon's fourth-dimensional pocket and Nobita.

Full color, hence the IDR 24,000 price tag. I preview Doraemon Movie - Petualangan Nobita di Laut Selatan (Last) after the release list.

Topeng Kaca 7 Deluxe, Kekkaishi 4, Ghost's Doctor 1 by Sato Yuki (Elex Media 16 February 2011 manga)

Culdcept 1 was supposed to join this Elex sked, but looks like it's been postponed to the 23rd. Look for it next week.

Ghost's Doctor 1 (Elex)

Youkai no Oisha-san © Sato Yuki/Kodansha
[Serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine]
Published in Indonesia as Ghost's Doctor by Elex Media

Three manga series debut this week: Ghost's Doctor by Sato Yuki, making the jump to tankou from ShoMagz serialization to answer the question: Do yokai have doctors? (In a word, yes); Cynical Kanoko AKA The Secret Notes of Lady Kanoko by Tsujita Ririko, the ex-LaLa DX shoujo manga about a girl who styles herself a people watcher and her descent into (gasp) actual social participation; and Red Haired Anne, Igarashi Yumiko's Akage no Anne mangafication of L.M. Montgomery's classic Anne of Green Gables.

No previews of ongoing series follow, unless RL decides to cut me some slack. Oh, but I would like to remind you that the Kekkaishi anime premieres tomorrow on Animax Asia. Volume 4 of the manga streets the day after.
