To free Ace, Shirohige's armada moves to crush the Shichibukai. But can Luffy, escaping from Impel Down, make it in time for the summit battle that will shake the world? The clock is ticking in One Piece 57: Puncak Perang Penentuan — on sale this Wednesday.

Topeng Kaca 8 Deluxe by Miuchi Suzue: Etude of Flames (2)

Kitajima Maya wins the Best Actress award for her performance as Helen Keller, the victory resulting in the offer of a TV role. Meanwhile, Ayumi also nabs a part in a different TV drama. Elex rolls out one new series, the badminton-themed shounen manga Smash! by Saki Kaori.

Shota excels at badminton, but couldn't care less about competing, let alone in the Inter High. However, his encounter with Yuuhi (a mute girl) produces a change of heart, just in time for a stranger to challenge him to a match. Although overwhelmed by his opponent, Shota ends up enjoying the game. Now determined to pursue badminton seriously, Shota enrolls at Tojodaini, famous for nurturing badminton stars.

This manga was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. Serials appearing in the Indonesian version below.

The cover of the third Code:Breaker tankou is the cover of Shonen Magz 3/2011, but the hype focuses on Chinmi, actually, Chinmi's pal Shi Fan, in Chinmi The Other Story. Before you roll your eyes, Elex is quick to reassure: Chinmi The Other Story doesn't lose out to Kungfu Boy Legends in terms of action.)

Sanzoku Ou: King of Bandits 7 of 13 by Sawada Hirofumi

✿ Emotional investment in Sawada Hirofumi's Talkin' 'bout a revolution manga continues to climb. For those angsticipating what's next, in Sanzoku Ou: King of Bandits 7, twenty days surrounded by a numerically superior enemy take its toll, and not just on soldier morale. As food stocks drop—to near-starvation levels—Masashige gives the order: Tell everyone to eat their fill.

What is Masashige thinking?

If you want further Nagato problems STAT!, go through back issues of the Indonesian Shonen Magz; the series wrapped in Issue 77. (If you want a similar historical series, try out m&c!'s Shanaou Yoshitsune Genpei War from the same manga-ka.)

Here is Greenwood 1 of 6 by Nasu Yukie

I thought this was the second time Elex was issuing Here is Greenwood; turns out I was wrong. (That Deluxe crown on the cover lured me into thinking it shared the same status as Topeng Kaca Deluxe and Angin Musim Gugur (and the upcoming Golden Book reissue). This release actually represents the Elex premiere.

Doom and gloom trail 15-year old school boy Hasukawa Kazuya. Not only does his oniichan up and marry Kazuya's first love, Kazuya himself has to live with the blissful couple. Kazuya refuses to subject himself to moar blues, so he transfers to the all-male Ryokuto Academy and moves into the dorm nicknamed Greenwood.

Imagine Kazuya's consternation when he finds he's rooming with... a girl?!

Baka Updates' users tag Koko wa Greenwood Crossdressing, Dorms, Rated OT, Shoujo with Male Lead. They also file the series under Oranyan, which I understand from bangin-san is the male equivalent of tsundere. (bangin-san cites these oranyan examples: Tsukimori Ren (La Corda d'Oro) and Wolfram (Kyou Kara Maou).) Chiaki (Nodame Cantabile) is another example.

I'm assuming the Greenwood oranyan is Dropped the Bridget on Him Kazuya? Whoever it is, Elex promises that the thicker bunko edition will satisfy your trap comedy cravings (if not your fujo BL parti pris).

DEFENSE DEVIL 1

Defense Devil
© Youn InWan & Yang KyungIl
Shogakukan (Shonen Sunday)
Published in Indonesia
by Elex Media

Elex advises 72 manga and manhwa tentatives for September, eight of which are premieres and at least four, finales, and makes good on 24 for a 33% fulfillment rate.

Expected to debut per the latest Komikologi: Bakeru-kun by Fujiko F. Fujio; Defense Devil by Youn InWan & Yang KyungIl (ongoing serialization in Shonen Star); Global Garden by Hiwatari Saki (Please Save My Earth manga-ka); MIXIM 11 (the Anzai Nobuyuki shounen adventure “famed” for its Unpopular Protagonist); Thorny Rules (Ibara no Okite) by Yukimura Yuni (Serial Cantik standalone); Topeng Kaca Deluxe by Miuchi Suzue (Glass no Kamen bunko); Tsuba Kiyo - 28K4 (Saikyou Seitokai Tsubakiyo) by Hara Asumi (concluded serialization in NakaGress!); and soonjung manhwa Want you by Hwang MiRee; and You Are So Cool by Lee YoungHee.

As there are only 3 × September weekly releases (no 8th and 15th deliveries because of the Idul Fitri holidays), I don't expect these premieres—nor even a fraction of the earlier-advised new titles such as A Little More to Edo, Traumeister or Hello Master—to ship this month. But then again, I've been known to get things wrong.

Edit: Got it (partially) wrong; Global Garden 1, Hello Master 1 and Libero Revolution!! 13 of 13 (below) street 22 September.

Meanwhile, this early, Elex has already banked one finale: Iori Tabasa's Kunai Legend (volume 4), albeit this being an August fallout like Amagi Seimaru- & Sato Fumiya's Kindaichi Special Case: The Phantom Of The Opera 3rd Murder (volume 2) and Tanaka Motoyuki's Libero Revolution!! (volume 13). The September-proper series awaiting curtains is actually Uno Hiroshi's Kaiser Z (volume 16). And despite having been penciled in for September, Natsume Yoshinori's Kurozakuro (volume 7 of 7) and Hwang MiRee's New Sexy Simpleton (volume 9 of 9) series wraps remain contingent on their predecessors' delays nashi deliveries, and as such, highly unlikely to reach stores this month.

Also, teh usual mangazines: Shonen Magz, Shonen Star (2x), Nakayoshi and HanaLaLa.

For blurbs, wait for the weekly releases; the full Elex list, however, is behind the fake cut.
